Rochester, NY – June 29, 2018 – FluxData today announced the promotion of Timothy Hattenberger, previously the Vice President of Engineering at FluxData, to the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer. As Chief Operating Officer, Tim will be responsible for creating and executing a strategic operating plan to leverage FluxData’s rapidly expanding product line and engineering capabilities to deliver customized solutions for color process control and measurements across its current customer base and into new markets. Tim will report directly to FluxData’s President, Pano Spiliotis, and will be based out of Rochester, NY.

Throughout his career, Tim developed a unique background with diverse experiences in consumer electronics, defense and intelligence, and public relations to name just a few. While Tim has spent time in both startup environments and large established companies, he enjoys the pace and broad responsibilities that are required at smaller, agile, fast-growing companies, such as FluxData. In addition to his professional career, Tim received his B.S. and M.S. in Imaging Science at The Rochester Institute of Technology and recently completed his EMBA at The Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester, finishing top in his class.

“Tim has a long history with FluxData. He was our first employee almost ten years ago and rejoined FluxData in May 2016 to serve as our Vice President of Engineering. Due to Tim’s diverse background and understanding of all aspects of the product lifecycle from start to finish, he is the perfect candidate to expand FluxData into suitable markets, ultimately expanding revenue. I have full confidence in Tim’s ability to align FluxData’s operating plan to further our position as an international leader in in-line color measurement,” said Pano.

In his most recent role as Vice President of Engineering, Tim had management responsibility for new product development including our SpectraNova D8-M2 spectrophotometer designed specifically for color quality control in challenging industrial settings. In his new role, Tim will take these efforts one step further by leading all strategic marketing efforts to expand FluxData’s products into new markets. “While FluxData’s products and custom solution services have achieved remarkable success, I’m excited to help lead the company as we continue to expand our offerings to customers in the global industrial in-line color process control market and look for other markets where we can leverage our capabilities,” added Tim.
